If you are a new customer, don’t expect the bar to run up a tab for you. They don’t know you well enough. Of course you can give them your credit card to hold on to so that you don’t have to pay per drink ordered, but don’t expect this if you don’t show proof of paying ability. Being dressed well is not paying ability. Some people just don’t get it, and continue to argue with the bartender. They are just pissing them off. Put yourself in their shoes. Trust has to be earned, not commanded. It doesn’t matter who you are.
