Nestled in the heart of the historical South Omaha Stockyards district, this building and property has a rich past that began in 1891. Before Ellis Island opened and even before the first modern Olympic Games, the property was owned by both Schlitz Brewing Company and Jetter Brewing Company and rumored to home a brothel in the upstairs loft. These walls have seen homesteaders, cowboys, flappers, greasers and hippies. Patrons have heard the news of two president assassinations, the Titanic sinking and our nation declaring war on Germany - twice. The building lived through Prohibition and is older than the Empire State building. We invite you to add to the history of this pub with your patronage for future generations to experience.
